As a startup entrepreneur I have a deep empathy for founders. My ability to connect with and build trust with entrepreneurs helps me secure great deal flow in the Toronto/Waterloo startup ecosystem. When working with founders, and evaluating companies, I bring 15+ years across various startups that saw success and failure. I've seen what can go right and what can go wrong. In terms of helping startups, I focus on driving revenue and brand positioning.
I am looking for breakthrough solutions to massive problems - entrepreneurs must convince me that they have a deep understanding of the problem space and that their solution can make a large impact on society. I will only bring deals to the syndicate that I believe can go 1000X.

I source deals through a combination of my professional network, angel network groups, existing investment founders and local incubators. I focus on teams that are located in the Toronto/Waterloo region that I can visit in person and get to know. For me there is no substitute for meeting in person and building a relationship in person. I am very selective in who I work with and focus on extensive diligence on the character of the founders and the quality of their initial product.
